Decent track this :). It's all very well mixed and the arrangement is great. Some parts are a bit muddy in the mix, but nothing to major, and it's easily fixed by cutting some of the low end from some of your synths. I miss some giher frequencies in the track. It all fells a bit inclosed without those higher, crisp sounds to make it even more energetic.
Overall a good track with just a few needed tweaks :).

RyeGuyHead responds:

Both yourself and AeronMusic have pointed out the muddiness of this track. I must say I've listened to this one in comparison to some of my others, and I definitely agree. I think it might have to do with the fact that the lead is so bass heavy, but there upper elements in the mix (like the flangy monophonic synth and the organ swells) that are really lost amongst everything else.

I know I added a bass excite post production setting to the whole mix, which might be the culprit. Pretty foolhardy, in retrospect, to toss some pre-baked setting on a mix after spending so much time working through the individual parts. I'll have to go back and look at it.

Thanks for the review!

SChweet tune :D. Loved the choiceof synth and the arrangement of the song. the mixing is really professional. Loved how you built up the song in the transitions :D.
I didn't like the main melody that much though. Hard to explain it, but it felt kinda unplanned and without purpose. That probably doesn't make any sense outside of my head, but the melody itself was just very forgetable. I also felt that you repeated that melody line a bit too many times.
Can't really explain why I dislike the melody properly tbh so I probably didn't really help at all X3.
Loved the song regardless though :D.

Thanks... give it time lol...

Reminds me of Tiesto's Lethal Industry. At first the melody made no sense to me and I just didn't like the track... then after hearing it in clubs a few times it just suddenly didn't piss me off anymore lol...

Must say that this really wasn't my cup of tea. I actually enjoy metal rock sometimes, but I felt like there was something missing from this. I wish that you would have added som percussion in this, though I understand that you might not have a drummer and drumset available.

My main problem with this song, however, is the distortion. There's way to much on it. i've always liked the sound of a distorted guitar, but I believe that you should use distortion with caution. Even though this might sound good on studio level monitors or headphones, on normal earbuds this just sounds like a huge mess. I must say that it sounds great on my own headphones, but I think you should take into consideration to try to take the distortion a bit down on this one. Maybe even cut some high-end in an Equalizer so that the right frequencies shine through.

Overall I think that the track was ok. I really liked the composition and arrangement of it, but the cons kinda outweigh the pros in this one.

MikeeUSA responds:

When I recorded it it was going through a system with and 18 inch, 12 inch, and some other subs at the bottom end, some JBL speakers and some other brand in the mid, and a bunch of tiny tweeters on the highend... called "the array". It sounded good on your good headphones though you said right? I'm glad. Up till a little bit ago I didn't have earbuds at all. The ones I have now are a gift and are still in their case so far. So you would say that if one has good earphones or a system the song is good?

Thanks for the review :). A friend of mine can do vocals well and I guess for those songs I will read your ideas over again and implement them. I'll have to get one of those EQ pedals though (on the list).

Really hard to review this because it's so atmospheric, and sounds more like a soundtrack for a run sequence in a movie than a Drum N Bass song. All I can say that you did and extraordinary job with the atmosphere in this. I could picture a guy running from something the moment the drums hit in, something that I know for a fact can be really difficult. This sounds very professional.
Since you already had this going, I wish that you would have made this a bit longer, and told a story with this. Like make the guy fall over something or get caught. I know how hard it is, but I'm fully confident that you could most definetly have been able to tell an entire music just with sounds.
Great talent!

This song already has 4 reviews that already says what I wanted to say so this will be a short review.
This track really is a piece of art Just a terrific remix of a already terrific song. Really loved what you did with the different synths. They all add very well to the overall atmosphere.
The arrangement is just in a league of it's own. I just loved it when the keyboard came in :).
What you did with the bird chip beat was just amazing and really creative.

I really don't have anything negative to say about this track. I actually think the ending was good. It would be cool as a loop ofc, but it was far from necessary, and I loved how it all just peacefully ebbed out.

Easy 5 stars from me. Keep up the good work :).

Thanks for the review :3 I am glad you enjoyed it ^^

This is definetly the kind of music I love XD. As a bassist myself, that intro really made me wanna grow. That bassline is so friggin awesome XD. I loved the electric guitar and the different riffs you play with it. The arrangement for this song is spot. The transitions happens in all the right spots and they are all silky smooth. Only that would make this better would be some vocals. It sounds a bit like an instrumental. I know that a singers aren't the easiest thing to find, but this would be super epic with some good vocals.

This is a definite 5 stars from me. Really think newgrounds lack more tracks like this :).

Thank you so much! It's such a fun song to play! Really glad you liked it!

Sweet piece this :). Loved your choice of synths. They really help in seetting a good i really wish that tatmosphere :). The melodies you got going are great. The overall mixing is spot on. I really liked what you did with the reverbs an delays :).
I really wish that this was a bit longer though, and had an actual arrangement. It sounds really good as it is now, but I was left a bit disappointed when it ended. I also wish that you would have made this into a loop instead of fading it out at the end.

Still a sweet sounding track though :).
4 stars.

Thanks a bunch♥

Solid track this :).
I honestly din't like the intro too much. You didn't have to filter everrything in my opinion. Like the drums didn't really need a filter buildup IMO. i felt that it was way to random, and just a bunch of slide notes clashing at totally random points. Also, I wish that you would have changed up the melody a bit. It was pretty much the exact melody from the intro just with some slides here and there.
The drop was pretty cool actually. Very interesting and creative. I wish that it would have been a bit more powerful bass there just to give it that "umph" feeling that dubstep usually has. That also another problem with this track. It sounds exactly the same all the time. The kick hits just as hard all the time, the bass never changes, the harmonics never changes, and it pretty much get tiring after the first drop. Though I do think this is very creative, it sounds a bit half-finished.

Keep in mind that this is just my opinion though. Others might enjooy it way more than me. I have listened to some of your otherr stuf like "sonar" so I know that you are capable of making great music, but this wasn't really my jam. Good job in creating it in 2 hours though.

Roxas~

As cga pointed out this is a really interesting pice. I loved the sortof vintaged low quality sound of it actually XD. What you did with the sax was great and you created a really good mood at that point, but I felt that you kinda ruined it around 0:50 when you took the sax completely out. I think it was a good call to take out the sax to add a little variation in there, but I wished that oy would have let the melody continue. Just as a suggestion you could have let the melody you play with the sax play in a high octave with the piano during that part. Or it doesn't have to be the same melody, but at the least the two mwelodies should be connected somehow. I think it just would make thiis sound a lot smoother.

As for the repetitiveness, I don't think that's such a bad thing actually. As it is for a game it has to be a loop, and it also has to be pretty repetetive. The melody you got going is the kind that I could listen to fro an extended period, because you don't use too many different notes. This would definetly be great for a game. It could have looped a bit better, but I assume that it loops properly in the actually game. As for the bass, it sounds a bit wierd. Like it's clashing with some of the hgiher frequencies from the hats and shakers, and especially the kick and snare. I would advise you to try eq'ing them a bit, though I don't know if it was intentional or not to make it sound like that.

It's overall a pretty good game track, but it has some flaws IMO. I'll give you 3.5 stars, though it's closer to 3.75 stars :).

Excellent Voltus. Just excellent :D. This is definetly the kind of music I groove to :D. Loved the drums, loved the arrangement, and loved the sounds you used. Some might mean that this is a bit repeative, but this is how dance music is supposed to be IMO. I felt that there was a slight lack of a sine bass layer just to give the song that extra bass feel, and to reward the people with bass speakers and headphones ;). That's my taste though.
Wonderful tune :).

thanks a lot, I never went all in on that sound so I'm glad you like it!
