Absolutely amazing the intro was absolutely stunning and almost made me travel to another world :D.
The part from 0:25 to 0:37 sounded a bit wierd because i think the synth was a tiny bit too loud but that might only be because of my sensitive ears :3.

This track really is the definition of "epic" and i absolutely love it.
Personally i prefer a tiny bit softer synth lead in games but that's only personal preferences.

I love this track and you should really consider turning the "fake" video game ost into a new on because you got serious talent :D.

This deserves all five stars.

Kid2Will responds:

It will be it's own OST for sure, named Aerion. It will have artwork depicted from the game, dying sounds, victory sounds, credit songs.. everything, but no game. Hopefully this will drive some game developers wild and cause them to contact me for work :D

I like this loop and I think would be pretty cool in a battle scene in a game.
One problem though is that the lead instruments are pretty low and the percussion and noise overpower them.
I would also have added some dynamic in the track like making some notes louder than others to get that action and tension feeling.
I would recommend that you listen to some other battle loops and try to learn from them.

Overall I think this is a nice battle loop and I would love to see it being used in a game :).
4 stars from me.

DoctorAppetitus responds:

Hey man, thanks for commenting. I really appreciate the critique, and will most definitely try to apply it into my future songs. Thanks a bundle!

Really liked this piece it. It sounded so calming and delightful.

I loved everything from 0:30 and out but I didn't really like the piano at the beginning.
It sounded a bit offbeat though I assume you did this on purpose and it sounds okay the first ten seconds but at 0:10 when the chime comes in. the piano gets kinda distracting.
Might only be my opinion.

Apart from those 20 seconds i absolutely loved the piece and it absolutely deserves 5 stars :).
Would love to hear more like this from you :D.

Fuzzy-L0g1c responds:

Thank you very much for the feedback. I was trying to humanize the piano part but I see your point. I'm very happy that you like my song and I will be sure to write more like this.

An absolutely stunning ambient piece. I almost felt like I was being washed away while listening to it and it also almost made me drift away to dreamland :D.

The intro was really good and the sounds mixed in really well with the lead. Did you make the sounds yourself or were they recorded?
Also i loved the part at 2:00 where that high pitched instruments comes in. Really gave me the chills :D.

It's five stars from me for this awesome piece :D.

Fubaka responds:

Heh, thanks for the kind words. This song actually carried me to sleep several times while working on it. :P

Everything you hear in this song (aside from the low pads near the end) was recorded by me, including the 'high pitched instrument'.

Really not that good at reviewing ambient music but I will try:

The track is pretty and it really does give me the chills but it's also very repetive.
I know that repetition is normal in this kind of pieces but still there's very little variation in your track.
The track dosen't really feel that ambient either. I think you should have put even more reverb on the sounds.
Still the song did manage to do what it was supposed to which is giving me the chills so it's a really good ambient track but the bad makes me unable to give you more than 3 :/

Tha

Fubaka responds:

Ah well, I guess I kind of expected a review like this one.

I will also assume that we are running on different definitions of what 'Ambient' is.

Thanks for reviewing.

I really like this track :). It's a really good cinematic track and i can imagine this being used in a game during a battle or under an epic moment. Only thing is that I felt that it was really repetive. The melody really didn't change at all though I don't say that the melody has to change but maybe have a bit more contrast in the different sections in the song.

I really liked the song though and if i could I would've given you a 4.75 but as I can only choose 4.5 that's what I'll give you :3.

Keep up the good work :D. I really liked this track.

deadlyfishes responds:

This is going to be used in a commercially released game. I did originally have less of a repetitive version, but playtesting the game me and the developers found it to be too distracting. This was the final version that really fit the game well which is the most important thing when it comes to working for games and other media. Most of the time short loops aren't really worth sharing but this is one of the few tracks I think really stand alone well straight from the game itself. Thanks for your review!

Pretty good track.I enjoyed it :).
The progression was pretty good. One thing I kinda disliked was that the drums dosen't sound like a partof the track. The tempo is correct and all but the sound dosen't really fit. You should mess around with the equalizer a bit more.

Also personally I think the lead sounded a little bit flat but I'm someone who likes to have reverb effects on everything so I might be wrong.

I liked the track overall :)

Dylnmatrix responds:

Yeah, about the drums. I started this in very late December of 2012, using these very drum samples. After a year of growing emotionally attached to the song, anything I try to change just made it sound weird, y'know? And it's not a lack of percussion, it's just these sounds fit best to what my mind said the track should sound like.

Also, fun fact, there's actually a lot of reverb on the lead, but Ozone and the mixing sort of neutralized it in a way. I still hear the reverb, but that's because I've heard the track over 9000 times.

(Haha, I made a joke.)

Thanks for the review and sorry for the late response!

Amazing :O. I just love the melody and the sounds. The build up is pretty cool too :D.
I greatly enjoyed the vocaloid vocals. They just so perfectly fit with the melody and sounds awesome.
Who'd thought I'd find such an awesome song just by looking through what a totally random person had reviewed X3.
5 stars and favourite.

(writing as i listen)
Interesting start. Very spooky and ambient thats good.
:o liked how it suddenly built itself up and there some kind of synth kicked in.
liking it very much so far.
The drums are okay but could probably have been a little bit more ambient.
Seriously dude this is creepy XD I luv it .
Ok its over now

Summary:
I really liked it actually. It's a really good cinematic track and it actually creeped me out which is good :D. The drums aren't really a huge problem but I would have added some sort of revern effect on the hat just to give it that little extra :)
A very good track.
A 5 from me :)

SoTJake responds:

Thanks man :)

I like some of your music quite alot actually. I think you should work a bit on the rhytm in some of your songs though.
But overall i think you're pretty good so I'll send you a scout request which you can choose to accept or decline. continue to improve :).
I especially liked this remix :)
5 stars
