Why You're Not Improving | Let's Talk Music

Posted by Ectisity - July 11th, 2018

Hi guyz!

So I've been wanting to make tutorial-esque videos on youtube for a while now, but because I'm too self conscious about my pronounciation and knowledge, I've been putting it off for a long time. I finally decided to get around to making something.

I've seen a lot of new, up and coming musicians fall flat here on Newgrounds, and it has always bothered me why some people seem to easily get stuck at certain level and never really improve from there. In this 5 part mini series I talk about different reasons as to why this might happen and how to fix it. The videos are all fairly short, so if you are a musician just starting out or if you've been making music for a while, but feel like you've hit a roadblock, consider checking these videos out. I'm no professional myself, and I have a lot of things to learn, but I believe I can spare you a lot of the headaches I had to go through in my first couple of years.

I really hope this is helpful to someone, and if you got any further questions or something you wanna add on, I would love to hear it, and hopefully my accent isn't too thick for you XD.

We've started to start with honestly rating those songs - no longer will that crap stay at the top - the reason most never improve is because all the old regime users who people aspired to left or their songs were buried - get consistent talent at the top - people aspire to it, they realize they have to work harder to get better scores and have their work seen and suddenly people start to improve.
