Awesome track again lokimiah :). Though the 8bit sounds you experimented with were really good :D. The arrangement of this was pretty awesome, and it really gives the feel of fighting a villian in a video game. I agree with larrynachos about the high pitched tick. at the beginning. doesn't really fit IMO.
Also the track ends a bit too abruptly and this doesn't loop around at all which you probably should do something about.

Great 8bit track again :).

Pretty rad track this. A very original concept, and I low the synhs you use, the mixing is generall pretty good, and the arrangementi s pretty good. Only thing I want to comment is that the robotic wobble synth that comes in around 0:10 could use a tiny little bit of high frequencies. Just the highest ones really, because it's kinda clashing with some of your more high pitched synths.
another thing, the clap around 1:27 is a bit too loud. had to turn down my volume dow when it came in. Just turn the level down slightly and it should be ok :).

I'm just nitpicking really because I think that this was really good. No real major faults with it :D.

Felocai responds:

I'va noticed that the clap is to loud few days after I finished the track becouse I was working with really bad speakers when uploading that, so I didn't notice that.
Now I bought better speakers, so problems like that shouldnt occur anymore :)
Thanks for reviewing!

Nice track. Actually quite liked the wierd intro. Really helped to add to the mysterious aura of the song :). The lyrics are pretty fantastic, and I love the singing :D. Perfect for this song. The arrangement of the song is spot on, and the mixing is really well done, especially considering the vocals as well :D.

Don't really have much wrong to say about this one :). Maybe the voices could have come clearer to thhe mix at some points, as I can't always hear what you're singing.

Hey thanks for the review!

I've been using a Logitech USB headset for vocals for 7 years now and that is why the vocals aren't crisp. I'm getting a new vocal setup worked out right now, but even after that is all good, I think I'm doing all the songs for this album with the headset for the sake of conformity.

Perfectly mixed orchestral track where the instruments all blend well together and some very nice melodies. I do wish this was a bit longer though, got a bit disappointed when it ended so soon. Also I wish that the bass section would be a bit more.. bassy. Kinda didn't feel tose low cello and tubas that helps add to the power of the song.

Only real criticism I can come with really :). Great track. Would have gotten a 5/5 if it was longer.

Thanks! I added some sub-bass sine waves to beef up the low end, but I think it got a little washed out when I added the reverb in post. I'll try to crank it harder the next time I approach a brass choir piece. Some percussion doubling the attacks of the bass instruments might also help fill out the space. I'll look into it.

Great dnb tune you got here. Creative with some really cool and interesting ideas implemented.
There are several things I want to comment on. First of all the bass synth tht comes in around 0:50 totally kills off everything else happening in the track. It's overpowering the pads a great deal, the square leads, the kick, the clap. Pretty much everything. Needs to be both eq'ed and leveled better. Try to cut some of the frequencies your padd and square shines from the bass and lower it a bit.

Also, apart from the kick, the clap and snare really annoy me. The snare has too much low end. When you have a "kick-snare" pattern like that the point is that you either want a high pitched kick with a low pitch snare, or a low pitch kick with a high pitched snare or clap. If both the kick and snare are hitting the same frequencies, the track will become annoying and tiring for the listener after a while.

Also this track is a bit too slow for a dnb track. You should speed the tempo up a bit IMO.

Maddus responds:

Thanks for the review but It's not a Dnb tune, and that's the reason why it's slow. If it is then I should've clicked the Dnb genre prior uploading.

This is really good :D Major composing talent, and this track is as original as it gets. Really like how you mixed orchestral and 8-bit together in such a smooth way. Doesn't sound forced at all.
The structure is great and mixing is pretty spot on.
Only thing I can criticise is the quality of the orchestral instruments. Strings are the most annoying samples to work with digitally because it's much easier to notice the quality of the sample than with horns or drums. All the synths in this are sweet sounding and pretty much perfect.

Another thing I want to say is that I think the track started a bit abruptly. Maybe copy the entire first 16 seconds section and make it so the track starts with 16 seconds without the percussion, and then 16 seconds with the percussion?. Think it would be a smoother transition to the next section as well. Just a thought :).

Overall an excellent and original track, which I'm always a fan of :D.

Thanks a lot for your review!
Next time I will do my best to fix these issues ;)
Thanks! =)

Like the guitar parts in this one. Loved the vocal style. Think it's a style that really fits you and your lyrics. Still needs more practice vocally though. Try to practice holdinga lote as stable as possible for as much time as possible. You tend to go a bit off key when you are singing long notes, but singing, justl ike guitar playing, is an art you get better at by practicing the basics :)

Also, don't know if you have a metrenome when you record or not, but the guitar goes offbeat at times. Not very noticeable really, but a metronome will always be a guitarists or any instrument players second best friend :) (Thei nstrument being the first).

Sweet sound :). Really liked the struture, even though I kinda missed a drop of some sort. The eq'ing could have been done better to make the song sound cleaner.
If you want, you could send me the project file for one of your songs and I can give you some indepth feedback on how you can clean up your mix :). Kinda hard to hear all the issues without actually seeing them :).

xxUltimaWeapon responds:

I would totally send you the files, but because I made this with the FL demo, half of the instruments and effects I used wont be included in the file. Next song I write, i'll definitely hit you up with the files, because I really need some guidance as far as eq'ing goes. I'm glad you liked the song though for the most part. =P
Thanks for the review.

This would fit perfectly in one of my old gameboy advance games XD. Really like your retro style. Only complaint I have is that I feel like the track could have built itself into a greater part with an epic melody or something. Maybe a rapid arpeggio or something. Didn't feel like this track was as intense as it could have been.

Overall a great retro track, again lokimiah :).

That was.. wierd. Hard to analzse this because it sounded like a huge cluster of sound anoises really. If you were going for the "chaos" feel then you did pretty well actually. Must say that the quaiity of the track is pretty decent except for the piano that sounds a bit cheap and plain. I think my biggest problem with this track is that I don't really know where you are going with this. If you had stated that this was meant to sound chaotic in the description or something, I would have looked at it another way, but as it is now I have to judge it as a dubstep track, and in this I only heare a couple dousine false notes and a big mash of sounds. There potential in your mixing, and I thought your ending was interesting so the track isn't horrible or anything, but can't give you more than a 2 for this one.
